ROSENDAHL & LYON TRIO
The Rosendahl & Lyon ensemble primarily perform as a jazz quintet, but for more intimate events, the ensemble can be condensed to a trio or quartet. The group contains a wealth of experienced musicians, having either graduated or still continuing their studies at the Canberra School of Music. This ensemble has performed in various venues around the Canberra region from clubs & pubs to restaurants & bars, as well as the major function centres. Their repertoire is quite substantial and can be tailored to suit a variety of situations. The various combinations of this ensemble can play jazz standards as background music for restaurants, clubs, as well as events such as wedding ceremonies or receptions, cocktail parties and corporate functions. Should the need arise they are also capable of performing contemporary jazz/funk and blues, in a more exciting fashion, for an event where a more up-tempo atmosphere would be more suitable. CASUAL SETS Casual Sets are a six piece covers band with a dedicated vocalist, vocal harmonies, guitars, bass and keyboards. The lead vocalist has also been seen shaking a tambourine, if he hasn't out-sourced it to someone on the dance-floor. The bass duties are shared by two members of the band who play keyboard as well as guitar. This gives the band the opportunity to create very different sounds and feels from piano driven to guitar driven formats. Our song selection covers bands such as The Easybeats, U2, Powderfinger, Eskimo Jo, Dave Gray, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers to name just a few. Casual Sets are very busy
in the corporate scene with repeat customers for corporate and government
functions and Christmas parties. We have also played a numerous weddings
at venues like Royal Canberra Golf Club, The Boathouse, Federal Golf
Club and The National Gallery. |

have extensive experience and have been playing locally since the early
1990's. Industries play list comprises a very broad range of music,
including 70's disco hits from artists such as The Jackson 5 and KC
and the Sunshine Band, 80's and 90's pop/ funk tunes from the likes
of Stevie Wonder and Jamiroqui, right up to the latest Aussie rock favourites
by Powderfinger and Jet. Careful attention to musical detail, along
with the ability to include 4 part harmonies for authentic sounding

AS FAMOUS AS THE MOON As Famous as the Moon was formed in 1995 and in that time these talented musicians have played over one thousand performances. More notable performances are Sydney Opera House, the prestigious "Side on Café" in Sydney, Manly Jazz Festival, National Gallery, National Museum, Parliament House and the National Convention Centre. As Famous as the Moon have tried to be as flexible a jazz group as possible. The band performs as a trio, quartet and quintet situations regularly. The basic line up is saxophone, double bass and guitar and where the situation arises, drums and vocals are added. TOUCHASOUL After arriving in Canberra from Auckland, New Zealand in 1986, a 9 year old Steve Amosa stumbled across an old 'Hotter than July' cassette. After hearing the heartfelt desperation in Stevie's 'Lately', it instilled an appreciation and the desire to tell a similar story through voice. 17 years on, Steve and younger brother Rae have been doing just that. Geared up with just an acoustic guitar, the past 5 years have seen Canberra and New South Wales audiences entranced by the duo as they've added their touch of gospel soul to songs, ranging from artists such as the Beatles and Eric Clapton, to Cold play and Dido. Interstate musicians were sourced to help complete the album, so the authentic sound the group are renowned for could be reproduced for all to enjoy. After many long months behind studio doors, the boys realised what a good thing they had going and the formation of 'Tuchasoul' the band was founded. For anyone to fully embrace
what 'Tuchasoul' are all about, you must see them in the flesh. And
you never know….your soul might be touched too. |

SECOND MOVEMENT SHOWBAND In 1967 the band signed a recording contract with EMI and recorded two singles, which were released nationally. The singles had moderate success and made it into a few top 40 charts. After many sucessful years of performing, the band retired in 1974 and only got back together in 2004 for a thirty year reunion. This proved so succesful that they decided to continue to play for special and occassional shows. The band plays a variety of covers featuring the music of bands such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Hollies, Searchers, Turtles, Neil Diamond, Monkeys, Everly Brothers, Elvis, The Animals, Buddy Holly, Elton John and Bee Gees to name but a few. The band have expanded their repertoire to include some great dance tracks and feature numbers from the seventies, eighties and nineties. The band is known for the tight harmonies and energy on stage. The Second Movement - a dance band that will have your feet tapping, your hands clapping, you face smiling and your memory bank flooded with hit after hit.

STANDARD ISSUE Standard Issue is a five-piece covers band from Canberra, with an extensive play list comprising well-known songs from the 1950's through to today. All five band members are accomplished musicians who come from rich and varied musical backgrounds. The band met in 2005 while working for the Australian Federal Police (AFP). They soon formed a dedicated AFP rock band called Short Notice, delivering a number of successful AFP performances throughout 2005 including the TourDeForce SI3 (alongside Yothu Yindi), National Police Remembrance Day, and the TourDeForce SI4. In January 2006, the band members then spawned Standard Issue; a commercial, public version of Short Notice. Playing as Standard Issue, the band's core objective is to take it's ever-growing song list to as many audiences as possible! Standard Issue is available for bar and club gigs, functions, weddings, corporate events, and parties. |

ARON LYON TRIO The Aron Lyon Trio is
one of the leading jazz groups in Canberra. The group consists of
seasoned performers. Over the years they have entertained audiences
in a wide range of situations including corporate events, restaurants,
weddings, bars and clubs. All members are graduates from the Canberra
School of Music Jazz Department. Members include Sam Young on drums,
Gareth Hill on Bass and Aron Lyon on guitar. All members have performed
at a variety of contemporary jazz festivals around Australia and have
played with many of top Australian jazz artists. Should the need arise,
additional members on saxophone or vocals can be added to the line
up. The trio perform a wide range of music from traditional swing,
to more contemporary jazz. as well as Latin, reggae, funk and rhythm
and blues. What ever the occasion, the Aron Lyon Trio can cater for

THE BLACK HAT BAND The Black Hat Band was
formed by David Grey, lead vocals and guitar and Derek Lark, harmonica
and backing vocals, with the express aim of developing an offering
that would appeal to a wide variety of live music fans. "We wanted
to do songs by some of our favourite artists, songs that other bands
weren't doing but that we believed people interested in blues and
R&B would like to hear and the dancers could dance to" Derek
said. "Clearly though our foundations are with the blues, we
were both influenced a lot by the blues masters but we like to find
new artists to showcase as well" he added. |

GONE BUSH The Gone Bush is a Canberra-based Australian Bush Band that specialises in traditional and contemporary Australian music. The band also plays at many bush dances throughout the region where dance calling and instruction is provided by the expert dance caller Ian Bull. The band has been performing throughout the region for the past 13 years. Dances and accompanying tunes from the Australian tradition include material from around the world from Ireland to Siberian and from Mexico to Germany.In addition to traditional music the Gone Bush regularly perform Irish, Popular, Country and Rock music. The personnel are Ian
on Guitar, Tony on Mandolin, Dan on fiddle, flute and whistle, Wally
on Keyboards and Noel on Percussion. All of the members pitch in for
vocals and harmony. |

LOCO MOJO Loco Mojo are a 4-piece
covers band focusing on rock and blues with a contemporary edge. Their song list features classic rock tunes from the sixties, seventies, eighties, and nineties with a smattering of bluesy numbers and some Aussie greats to cater for all tastes. MAD SEASON - THE MATCHBOX TWENTY SHOW Matchbox Twenty are
recognised internationally as one of the most popular and successful
bands to emerge in the last decade. Since the enormous success of
their debut album, 'Yourself or Someone Like You' in 1996, which went
platinum 8 times in Australia, Matchbox Twenty have established a
huge Australian fan base, with sell out tours including their last
tour in April 2008. Their popularity is even further enhanced with
the solo career of frontman 'Rob Thomas' who himself has earned 3
Grammy awards, 11 BMI awards and twice named Billboard's Songwriter
of the year. 'MAD SEASON' recreates
the excitement and passion of Matchbox Twenty as a full 5 piece rock
band. All the players are highly experienced and talented, and importantly
have played together for many years as 'Newstone' which ensures a

MONKEY WRENCH - TRIBUTE TO THE FOO FIGHTERS The Australian Foo Fighters Show line-up of players was established by July 2005 specifically to recreate the energy and appeal that the Foo Fighters creates in their live performances. Our players involved in the Foo Fighters Show are influenced by many 90s and now grunge, heavy rock, pop, other similar acts. The Foo Fighters themselves are a piece of rock history. The bands muscle permeating from their famous drummer, David Grohol whose influence stems from the idolised famous grunge rock band of the 90s, Nirvana. Inevitably, David Grohol's passion for music and his hard-hitting drum style continued on after Nirvana's untimely end. The Foo Fighters rocketed into stardom with their self-titled debut album in 1995, where Dave played all the instruments himself before creating the band for live performance. The meaning of the 'Foo Fighters' is a World War II slang for UFOs, its translation is possibly 'Mysterious Aerial Fighters'. The Australian Foo Fighters Show allows you to experience the sounds the Foo Fighters have mastered.
